Hand Calligraphy - Invitation Design

Custom invitation design is very popular now, especially for weddings. It allows you to be part of the design process as you work with your calligrapher to create just the right look for your wedding, announcement, or other special occasion.

Simply provide our calligrapher with the dimensions of your invitation pieces and the wording, and we'll create an eye-catching custom design in about 3-5 business days to email to your favorite printer or stationer. You'll have 3 opportunities to review the drafts and make changes prior to the completion of the final invitation design.

Invitation Design Ideas

When you work with a calligrapher to design an invitation, you have the freedom to create a look that would be difficult to create using ordinary computer fonts. The names of the bride and groom can be intertwined... flourishes can be subtle or dramatic... whatever fits your style. 

You can have the entire invitation set designed in hand lettering, or simply embellish the bride and groom's name in calligraphy on a typeset invitation. Either method will give you the custom flair you are looking for!

You might also consider having just your names designed in calligraphy on the invitation and have the rest of the text typeset. It's a great look! See the Natalie and Melissa samples below for this type of design.

Your stationer or printer will provide you with the dimensions of the paper and envelopes you will be using, and inform you of any additional fees that may apply for custom printing. We can email the designs directly to your stationer or designer if you will provide us with the contact name, email address, and the preferred file format (for example, TIF files @ 720 dpi).

After you select the style and provide us with the wording for the invitation, we'll create a design and either email or fax it to you for your comments and changes. The price includes 2 revisions to the design. Additional changes after 2 revisions will incur additional fees. See the Price list for more details.
